A Message from Our Founder

In conversation, I often come across individuals who immediately state that they aren’t a leader because they do not have a team to lead. I understand that perspective, because I didn’t see myself as a leader for the first ten years of my career. I felt like I needed to have a degree in Administrative Leadership and be running a school or entire school system to call myself a leader in education. Little did I know, I had it all wrong.

When I first read John C. Maxwell’s definition of a leader, it seemed so simple, yet it blew my mind. He said, “Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.” I began questioning at what point in my life I truly started influencing others. I quickly realized that I had been a leader long before I even had a high school diploma. We all influence others in our lives which makes us all leaders. What we must focus on is how we can continue to intentionally develop our abilities to positively influence those around us.

I coined the term “learnership” to describe the need for leaders to participate in continuous development and commit to being a lifelong learner. Sierra Learnership Collaborative brings to life my belief that effective leadership skills and lifelong learning are critical to success. Growth, leading, and learning are all collaborative processes. Whether working with you individually, as a small group, or as an organization, together we can collaborate to achieve your goals as a more effective leader.

Sierra Collins is the Founder of Sierra Learnership Collaborative, where she is a Certified Leadership Development Coach, Speaker, & Trainer for both youth and adults. Sierra spent many years thinking about her purpose and the areas in which she felt she could have the greatest impact. She found hers, and now she has the ability to help you discover yours. Her purpose is to share her passion for growth with you so you can be inspired to become an effective leader and lifelong learner who is always striving for personal and professional growth.

Ericka C. Kerns

Ericka C. Kerns is a highly accomplished and certified HR professional with over a decade of experience in Human Resources. Holding a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources Management, Ericka has consistently demonstrated her commitment to excellence in the field.

Ericka earned her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation in 2019, showcasing her dedication to staying at the forefront of industry best practices. Her educational background also includes a certificate degree in Homeland Security, reflecting her diverse skill set. In addition to her HR expertise, Ericka is a Virginia Notary Public and certified lifeguard with CPR/AED/First Aid credentials from the American Red Cross, underlining her commitment to safety and well-being. Actively involved in the community, Ericka is an esteemed member of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Loudoun SHRM chapter.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ericka is known for her civic engagement, serving in various capacities on local boards and committees. Her leadership style is marked by motivation, dependability, and a results-oriented approach. Through critical thinking and a code of ethics, Ericka excels as a solution-focused professional, consistently delivering tangible outcomes and contributing to the success of her teams and organizations.

Larry Moss

Larry Moss is a highly experienced Executive Coach & Trainer with a Masters in Organizational Development. Larry brings his passion and knowledge of leadership development to leaders at all organizational levels to catapult already accomplished leaders and teams to the next level of personal and professional growth. Larry served as a Counterintelligence Agent in the United States Army. He is also an ICF Certified Coach, CultureWise Consultant, and DoD Certified Trainer with training from John Maxwell Leadership, Team Coaching Facilitation, and Stephen Covey Leadership. Larry resides in Virginia and enjoys serving nonprofit organizations.

Randy Wilson

Randy Wilson is an accomplished Leadership Teacher, Speaker, and Team Builder with over 30 years of real-world application in the U.S. Air Force and corporate world. He has a deep passion for helping professionals, across many spectrums, reach their personal and professional goals. Randy is a strong proponent of self-understanding, and he focuses on bringing these key lessons to others to help them create the life they desire. When not working, he loves to be with his wife, Mineca and their rescue dachshund, Copper.

Amber Trail

Amber trail is a very talented Human Resources Coach & Consultant with over 15 years of progressive corporate HR experience and a Masters in Business Administration. Amber’s passion lies in working directly with professionals to level up their career in the Human Resources realm. She is an international best-selling author, speaker, and certified goal success coach. She resides in Pennsylvania where she considers her most important job to be her role as the mom of three incredible boys.

Jay Foreman

Jay Foreman is a John Maxwell-certified leadership trainer with a Master degree in Executive Leadership. He is also an accomplished public speaker and a past professional member of the National Speakers Association. His clients have included business leaders, associations, non-profits, schools, and churches. Jay has authored sixteen books, including three best sellers and works part-time as an adjunct instructor at Laurel Ridge Community College, teaching leadership courses. Tina Hyland

Tina helps women entrepreneurs get out of their own way and shows them how to structure, position, and price their offering in a way that clearly shows their value so they can differentiate themselves from their competition. With over 20 years of experience as a corporate trainer, multi-unit manager, and sales leader in multiple industries, Tina knows what it takes to be successful in business and build successful teams. Teaching, coaching and leading people to push beyond their comfort zones and reach their true potential is what she loves most.

Donna Webb

Donna Webb, a seasoned executive with 40 years in insurance and finance, excels in strategic planning, marketing, budgeting, disaster preparedness, and business ownership. With experience coaching 110 agency owners, she prioritizes empathy and active listening. Donna holds a BA in Criminal Law from the University of South Florida and is a Financial Services Certified Professional.
